Again, already? jeez, don't you have something better to do?

It's thick in Bangkok this morning. The air is heavy, hot, thick and Mr. Sunshine is trying to sear through the haze without much luck. Looking outside is kind of like looking out across Hawaii, but it's flat flat flat. Of course, I'm in one small corner near the airport. The oppressive city is not outside, and I doubt I'll get even a glimpse of it during this trip.

The mosquitoes are buzzing me. They will not get me. Despite it being, I don't know...probably 85 degrees and about 95 percent humidity, I'm in long sleeves and pants. Not feeling too risky in the mosquito born disease department just yet.

It's supposed to be 90 degrees and 90% humidity in Cambodia today. I'm ready...bring on the dripping. At 13 degrees latitude, I get it...I'm close to the equator and I'm going to be inland. And if you know me well, you'll know that I'll be stinking it up with the best of them in just a few days. I have no choice...I'm a very good sweater.

Breakfast was a far cry from Thai...slightly orangish sausage links, some swirly pink "ham", a fried egg and a couple pieces of white toast. That wasn't exactly what I was expecting...panang curry much?...but so be it. I'm going to let my stomach lead in the next few days so hopefully this boring blog about ham, eggs, airports, and sweat will get a bit more interesting.

I'm off to the airport in just a few minutes....time to head into the land of hindu temples where buddhist monks hang out.
